Fouco Arancia reinterprets the iconic Thonet model A-1880. The designers from Studio Iskry have increased its appeal by choosing ash wood for its pronounced grain pattern and introducing an enchanting element: a brass sphere that also acts as a purse hanger. The model belongs to the Aller Ego collection, awarded the title "Best Polish Design."

DESIGNERS

Studio Iskry is an interdisciplinary studio from Warsaw, founded by design duo Marysia Gajewska and Michał Niedośpiał. They value an all-encompassing approach to design, keen to collaborate with craftsmen and artists to create complex and original pieces. Their aim is to celebrate the everyday, creating spaces and objects characterised by quality and longevity. Their designs are shaped by an intuitive approach, which is reflected in functionality, curiosity and a fundamental interest in the human as user. They are co-authors of the Paged AlterEgo collection, which won an award in the Best Polish Design category of the Good Design 2024 competition. For this collection, they created the FUCO BLU and FUOCO ARANCIA chairs.
